1. Definitions

  • Landlord: Sjorydet
  • Guest: the person making the reservation
  • Accommodation: the holiday home offered via sjorydet.nl
  • Agreement: the reservation of the accommodation
  • Website: sjorydet.nl

2. Applicability

  1. These terms apply to all bookings and agreements via sjorydet.nl.
  2. By making a reservation, the guest agrees to:
    • these terms and conditions
    • the privacy policy
    • the house rules
    • the cancellation policy
  3. The house rules form an integral part of the agreement.
  4. Deviations are only valid if confirmed in writing.

3. Formation of the agreement

  1. A booking is concluded after:
    • submitting a request via the website, and
    • confirmation by the landlord
  2. The landlord reserves the right to refuse a request.
  3. Obvious errors in pricing or availability are not binding.

4. Use of the accommodation

  1. The accommodation is intended for recreational use only.
  2. Only registered guests are allowed to stay.
  3. Subletting or use by third parties is not permitted.
  4. The maximum number of guests must not be exceeded.
  5. The guest is responsible for all occupants.
  6. Nuisance, damage or illegal activities are not permitted.

5. Payment

  1. Payment is made via bank transfer.
  2. Payment must be made according to the terms stated during booking and in the confirmation.
  3. Full payment must be received before the start of the stay.
  4. In case of late payment, the landlord may cancel the reservation.

6. Cancellation

  1. Cancellation by the guest is subject to the cancellation policy on the website.
  2. The landlord may cancel or modify a reservation in case of:
    • force majeure
    • unforeseen circumstances
    • technical or administrative errors
  3. Paid amounts will be refunded or an alternative will be offered.

7. Arrival and departure

  1. Check-in and check-out times will be communicated in advance.
  2. The guest must vacate the accommodation on time.
  3. Late departure may result in additional charges.

8. Access and keys

  1. Access is provided via key, key safe or instructions.
  2. The guest is responsible for proper use of access methods.
  3. Sharing access codes with third parties is not allowed.
  4. Costs may be charged in case of loss or misuse.

9. Cleaning

  1. A cleaning service may be offered.
  2. If no cleaning service is booked, the guest must thoroughly clean the accommodation so that it is ready for the next guest.
  3. Bed linen may be left in the laundry basket near the washing machine.
  4. If cleaning is insufficient, additional cleaning costs may be charged.

10. Deposit and damage

  1. A deposit may be required.
  2. The guest is responsible for any damage caused during the stay.
  3. Damage may be deducted from the deposit or invoiced afterwards.

11. Use of property and surroundings

  1. Use of the accommodation and surrounding area is at your own risk.
  2. The guest is responsible for the safety of all occupants.
  3. Parents or guardians are responsible for children.
  4. Facilities such as barbecue or fire pit must be used carefully.

12. Utilities and services

  1. Utilities such as internet, electricity and water are provided as a service.
  2. Availability cannot be guaranteed.
  3. Temporary interruptions do not entitle the guest to compensation.

13. Privacy

  1. Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy on sjorydet.nl.
  2. Data is used only for:
    • execution of the agreement
    • communication
    • legal obligations

14. Complaints

  1. Complaints must be reported as soon as possible during the stay.
  2. Both parties will aim to find a suitable solution.

15. Liability

  1. The landlord is not liable for damage, loss or injury during the stay, unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
  2. Liability is limited to the amount of the booking.

16. Governing law and disputes

  1. Dutch law applies to these terms and conditions.
  2. All disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

17. Final provisions

  1. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
  2. The landlord may amend these terms.
